Corporate Coaching can only be aplied under certain conditions and has its advantages and disadvantages:
+
- Corporate Coaching is cost-effective. The consultancy fee would only comprise services of the Corporate Coach, - This means a higher ROI of the investment would be attained, - Smaller and medium sized companies could afford consulting projects and enter the continuous improvement cycle more or less for free, as there is a financial pay-back from all projects, - Included management and staff would obtain optimum training and could tick off many areas of their personal development plan, - Ownership is guaranteed since the client's human resources create their own management tools and processes (with the coach), - Project results will be sustainable and last longer than only the financial period of and after the project. -
- Corporate Coaching projects take longer than usual consulting ones as employees who will act as internal constultants need to be trained up and supervised more, - Therefore, the pressure on gaining quick financial savings should not be too high, - Major change initiatives in big corporations should still be performed by a team of consultants, - Organisational change can also be an area which should be dealt with by an outsider or on steering committee level.
